Sarah creates content for a select group of culinary, non-profit, and corporate clients. She has been hired to produce personality profiles, trend analysis, and research reports on a range of food and farming topics.

She works as a writing consultant for the Center for Care Innovations, covering safety net health clinic programs addressing food insecurity, transportation, substance abuse disorders, and tech. And she teamed up with a designer to update the California Food is Medicine Coalition‘s communication content, including its website and fact sheets.

She has written about a Southern California coffee grower for the University of California/Slate Custom Publishing, crafted culinary guides to Oakland for Edible Excursions, and highlighted the innovative efforts of 20 Golden State food systems changemakers for the Berkeley Food Institute.

In her work covering culinary industry developments for CCD Innovation, she has authored more than 50 trend reports on subjects such as current strategies to reduce food waste, modern approaches to plant-based meats, and new twists on classic preservation techniques.

Sarah has the unique ability to craft engaging and informative stories of all kinds, including those featured in her food trend analysis reports which she has written for CCD Innovation for five years. She pairs her extensive knowledge of the food world with a clear understanding of her food business reader in eloquent reports that stand out from typical corporate communications. Sarah is also a top-notch professional upon whom we count on to keep our publication schedule rolling smoothly.

Kara Nielsen, VP, Trends & Marketing CCD Innovation

Sarah has worked for me for ten years as a tour guide and as a consultant to my business.  She created two excursions for my company. She is thorough, deeply curious, a dogged researcher with a keen eye for detail, and a poignant storyteller. Her compelling tour scripts weave together culinary, cultural, historic, demographic, and economic threads into an absorbing narrative tale.

She is smart, dependable, and has a great sense of humor. I turn to Sarah for her expertise and advice in many aspects of my business including writing web content and press releases, marketing new and existing tours, and devising media strategy and outreach. Whatever the task, she gets the job done at the highest level of professionalism.
